Sendsteps shortcut opens explorer instead of PowerPoint

If you click on the Sendsteps shortcut and PowerPoint does not open, but your explorer does, follow these steps:


Step 1: Open registry


Step 2: Locate
Locate: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\powerpnt.exe
(*For Windows 64 bits with a 32 bit version of Microsoft Office, locate: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\powerpnt.exe


Step 3: Change values
Add/change these values:

Default - C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Root\Office16\POWERPNT.EXE (*This may be different to find the correct path look in program files for the POWERPNT.EXE)

Path - C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Root\Office16\ (*this should point to the folder same folder but without POWERPNT.EXE)


Step 4:
Close the registry and open PowerPoint again
